- Resin storage tanks – one for each primary resin. Construction based on resin to be used. Note for three part resin system, catalyst to be stored in tote tanks.
Additional System Notes
- Sand Storage Tanks – Tanks are to be filled remote of the car from primary sand storage silos. All sand conditioning needs to be performed prior to filling of the tanks. This includes heating, cooling and classification.
- Resin Storage Tanks – Refilling of the on-board resin storage tanks to be determined as required. Generally, they are gravity filled via either tote tank or from bulk resin supply. Note, for Furan resin system users, it is required to use mutually exclusive hose connections to prevent the direct mixing of resin and acid.
- Track – Cost of track to be determined at time of order and final design. Generally, grade level track is used to eliminate subterranean cleaning. Standard 90# ASCE track should be used. Quantity of wheels to be used is based on final mobile car weight. Rail and its installation can be purchased by customer for economy.
- Installation and Startup – Installation is not included in the price of the mobile mixing system. Pricing to be determined on final equipment and installation design. It is not necessary for Palmer personnel to start up the quoted equipment. Most maintenance departments are able to handle the installation with minimal assistance.
